Show Notes

At a height of 29,029ft Mt. Everest is the tallest mountain on the planet.  To many it is seen at the pinnacle of individual achievement. Man's quest to overcome the great of challenges.

The weather is harsh and unpredictable, high winds, freezing temperatures, and sudden storms are the norm here. Steep ice walls, exposed ridges and treacherous crevasses also add to the challenge of conquering this mountain.

In order to be successful you have to master every part of yourself mentally and physically, not to mention have a bit of luck on your side.

As of July 2022, there have been approximately 11,346 summit ascents by 6,098 people.

Today on the Tools for thee Modern Man Podcast I am fortunate enough to have one of those rare individuals on the show.

My friend Mike Mulrooney.

I've known Mike for over 20 years and I when we first met back in 2001 there is no way I would predict that this man would achieve something most people never dare to even dream about.

I hope you enjoy listening to Mike's story from sitting on his couch watching a show that sparked an idea which led him on a 6 year journey to summit the earth's highest peak.
